Very effective in certain cases I'm led to believe - I don't know a lot about it, other than my ex girlfriend worked as a psych assistant for a couple of years in a sex offenders prison and she used to tell me about all of the different things they do. Apparently it's only a certain type of sex offender, which they establish by putting some type of electronic condom on them and reading them stories about abusing children/rape/etc. They measure the impact of the stories and how excited they get to establish if the treatment would work or not

Dont shed a tear for the pedo fair play, but just remember what sicko's the blokes who did it are I'm guessing the reason they were able to get to him is that they were all in the protective custody wing.............maybe they thought they'd be welcomed into normal prison population if they carried the awful deed out!
