themotivator Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 i've just seen this video posted on a mates facebook. found it really interesting. i was totally captivated by these when i was younger. i can remember them appearing while they were re-developing the bede island area. pretty hilarious characters involved and a great soundtrack. hope you enjoy. I remember seeing this and it is always something I bring up with anybody when talking about Graffiti - the Mortal Kombat style Big Trouble in Little China characters always stuck in my memory. Thanks for putting a date on it, they were some happier times for me, 1996. Really good seeing those again - these guys are true artists and Graffiti doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Rincewind Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 My last job in security was in Melton Mowbraw at a site where they tested trains. Part of the reason we were there was that some graffiti artists had got onto the site and sprayed some of the coaches. We were told it costs thousands of pounds to clean it off. The ones who did it came over wasteland then scaled a fence to get in and the graffitti spelt their name. I was going to take a photo but we were only there one night and the moved the coach to the main site in Dalby. It was well done but still vandalism. I remarked that it was a pity because they had wasted their talent to do it.. Not only did it cost for cleaning there was also the cost to pay security to keep intruders off the site.

It needs to be done in appropriate places though. But chavs who just 'tag' their name all over the place on peoples property can all go and rot in jail for all i care

They also sprayed something like 'For what you did' Either an ex-employee or a political activist who thinks that any high ranking politian will one day see the graffittee while taking his dog for a walk. I said at the time who is going to see it. It was on the blind side of the area where it was stationed and facing wasteland that was fenced off. Doesnt make sense.
