????? Posted 15 November 2011 Author Posted 15 November 2011 .Episode 4 Episode 4 of 5, James May's Man Lab, Series 2 Duration: 59 minutes James May attempts to prove the impossible - that an Englishman can take a penalty and score. He will need to keep a cool head as he'll be taking the penalty in front of 20,000 baying German fans on the exact spot where England were knocked out of the 2006 World Cup. Saxondale Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Just watching this. If you wondered why Adam Smith of all 'keepers in the country, it's probably because it was filmed at Loughborough University.
Fox92 Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 James May looks like Mr. Bean when he runs up to take a penalty
steveherbe Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 So if they filmed at Loughborough, and used one of our keepers, why the hell bother using Razor 'fat Boy' Ruddock to coach James how to take penalties? Surely the answer was, use Gally? Then Captain Slow wouldn't have missed the penalty in front of all those germans. For those of you who recorded it and haven't watched it yet, James might have missed the penalty, although he might not!
DJMadness29 Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 Ruddock is a 'well known' ex footballer were as gally... Well isn't.

The bit with Ruddock in wasn't filmed in Loughborough, it was filmed at Ashford.
steveherbe Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 The bit with Ruddock in wasn't filmed in Loughborough, it was filmed at Ashford. My point. They'd already sent a film crew to Loughborough, why send another one on another day to Ashford? BBC, wasting our money again.
