Festive football will be in full-force at King Power Stadium later this month, with Leicester City hosting npower Championship action both on Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.

And to help with the costs that come with the Christmas season, supporters attending the Boxing Day clash with Ipswich Town can buy a ticket for the New Year's Eve visit of Portsmouth for just £10!*

It promises to be a thrilling double-header to bring 2011 to a close on Filbert Way, with the Foxes hoping to finish the year on a high ahead of what will hopefully be a Premier League promotion push in 2012.

Part one sees City hosting Paul Jewell's unpredictable Ipswich (kick-off 3pm), whose performances have touched both ends of the spectrum this term. Along with victories over the likes of Leeds, West Ham and Brighton this season, the Tractor Boys have been beaten heavily at Peterborough and Burnley and only recently ended a run of seven straight defeats. The corresponding fixture last season saw City run our 4-2 winners on the campaign's final day.

City hope to celebrate throughout the festive season.

On Saturday 31 December, we're kicking off Leicester's biggest New Year's Eve party with the visit of Portsmouth at 12.15pm. Under the guidance of new manager Michael Appleton, Pompey will be hoping to climb their way out of the Championship's bottom half with more of the quality and endeavour they showed in the two sides' 1-1 draw at Fratton Park in November.

Both fixtures will be vital to City as they look to take some form into 2012 and Nigel Pearson's men are sure to be backed by a big crowd on both occasions, as the city gets its traditional fix of festive football.
