MattyR Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 No quote marks in there, but I'm guessing the last part was your part and not him calling a hospitalsed child a nob Haha that did look quite bad, he wasn't calling any children nobs!
anglodan Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Interesting little debate. I follow him on twitter & have taken an interest in the conduct of our players who are on there. I think it can be an interesting insight into their characters I started to take a dislike to him after seeing the way he would react to any fan that gave him some stick. The general responses smacked of a 'my life is better than yours' playground mentality. But the one that got me was after a fan gave Neil some (admittedly unfair) stick about Saturday, his response being 'It doesn't hurt when your driving home to a dream lifestyle' hinting at a superiority complex. That answer for me suggested he had very little passion & desire for a club providing him with the lifestyle he craves and a disregard for the fans who help to pay for it. BUT Context is everything, & twitter is an easy place to miscommunicate. I then saw an interview on foxes world at a recent press conference, and the Neil Danns that was presented to the cameras was a MUCH more articulate, warm & genuine sounding guy than the one who taps 140 character messages into his phone. He sounded honest, he sounded like he cared & sounded like he wanted to prove a point My point here being... The fella can talk but can't write! He may well have an ego, but I think he means well & I hope Pearson gives him a chance soon. That way we can see if his football skills are as big as his ego, and I genuinely hope they are…
danfox76 Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 Danns has not been given an opportunity to prove himself properly. How many times has he played 2 games in a row in his natural position? Yes he can occasionally play RM, but this shouldn't the rule, but the exception. I think he has quality in spades, but must be immensely frustrated at not being able to show it. This ^^ Danns needs a run of games in his preferred position before anyone can judge his ability.
Bausor Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 I for one hope he gets both boxing day and portsmouth in the centre of midfield
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 Danns is a good player, has been slightly disapointing so far at City but as many have said because he is being played out of position (when he plays that is!!!)
dog_4 Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 when we get 2 wingers in and send fernandes and johnson back to there clubs! danns will only ever be used in his preferred position
marbelladave Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 when we get 2 wingers in and send fernandes and johnson back to there clubs! danns will only ever be used in his preferred position The bench........
dog_4 Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 yeah but coming on in his actual position! this is why i'm positive!plus with a couple of quality wingers! i think that will make a massive difference to the midfield! quick pacy wide men!
eaststandtom Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 hasnt he been played out of position. one of palaces top performers has been made to look average thanks to svens appalling decisions. whats the point signing him and then playing him out of position which begs the further question what was the point in signing him
GianEmmo Zola Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 He was quality for palace playing 'in the hole' never a wide man. He would best be suited to a 451 formation. Playing the attacking midfielder of the 3 cms.
Guest MattP Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 I don't even want to hear about how the position is an excuse for his performances, the main worry is he can;t pass, tackle or shoot, whatever position you play in if you can't do that you are in trouble. He looked ok for Palace but they still didnt attempt to break the bank to keep him even if they knew the chances were he was going.

paddy Agyemang Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 Everybody danns now Quality player love his attitude he isnt here for the money as rangers matched his wages as here, he would get played at our place but at rangers he will be on the bench. If he wants to sit on the bench then he would of gone there On the other hand, he is a scouser! ROBBING BASTARD , not reli he is the tits
