chili_con_carne Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Anyone who looks at his twitter? It might just be me, but he comes accross as such a dick on there. The way he replies to everyone saying he's 'living the dream' all the time. It appears we've signed someone who is completely in it for the money - and we wonder why we are not even in the play offs? This bloke appears to care more about posting YouTube videos of him singing and playing the guitar than trying to get us promoted. We haven't signed the right type of player - we need more lee peltiers and kasper schmeichels. Players that want to get us promoted and to further there careers. And less of the Neil danns and jernaine beckfords who are complete dicks and only care about the money. How do you think Norwich, Blackpool and stoke got promoted against the odds in recent seasons? Team spirit, everyone on normal wages and all trying there best every game. We don't have the right formula here. Apologise for the rant

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 To be fair, if I had to deal with as many dickheads as Neil Danns does, I'd be like that too.
Corky Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Proper character assasination, based on a Twitter account. What did he have for tea this evening?
dimmerchant Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 "I'm living the dream" = "I'm only at Leicester for the money and I care not for promotion, but only my musical career"? Don't think you should be looking in to a career as a psychiatrist any time soon, mate.

Apologise for the rant He's not getting started every week when he is good enough, so he is going to seem like that. Posting the youtube video's is something he likes to do isn't it, why would he start putting about really wanting to get Leicester promoted when he isn't even featured in the squad last game and he hasn't really started for a while. Plus, on the money i'm thinking he's on, i would be living the dream too. I don't know how you can say he seems a dick to be honest, on twitter he's always communicating with the fans. More than most players anyway.
chili_con_carne Posted 18 December 2011 Author Posted 18 December 2011 Well if someone says to him, ' ha you can't even get in the squad now ' or something, he will reply that he's living the dream. Does that not say something? Maybe that he doesn't care about not Being in the squad because he's picking up about 15 or 20 thousand pounds a week.
chili_con_carne Posted 18 December 2011 Author Posted 18 December 2011 Appears to me that he's arrogant. We've signed the wrong players this season. Pearson signed the right players for us when he was in charge and for hull. All with something to prove. He will sort it out in January. The only problem is that players such as beckford and danns are stuck here for 3+ years now cuz no other club is stupid enough to pay there wages.

Of course he cares, he's a decent guy on twitter I've followed him since day one, he replies to you and retweets unlike most celebs! He's always bored so he creates music videos on YouTube, he's not the first footballer to say hes bored as most of them are done for the day at 12pm! Lay off him mate he gets enough stick off fans from other clubs because they were linked with him but he chose to come here, the lad deserves a fair chance to play in the centre if midfield ahead of both Wellens and King on current form, I hope he gets it as I truly believe there's when we will see the best of him!

He seems very restrained with that answer.

He's responding to someone who wants "the bants" and Just quickly putting him in his place. If you read the back-and-forth, you'll see the loudmouth Donny fan is deserving of nothing more.
seenitall Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Typical Foxestalk scapegoat creation to do anything but face the facts that Top is a goon and we sacked Sven too soon - going nowhere now and our last stab at ambition has died a death, reckon it will be a few years before we turn the corner - Top out I say
Corky Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Top is a goon Sacked Sven too soon Not over the moon In the last chance saloon I like to croon With this shit choon

Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Weird player to start slating on a personal level, I've always thought he seems a decent upbeat guy. Maybe 'living the dream' means being a footballer? Bench or not, I'd love more players to consider playing football for Leicester to be 'a dream' or at least to realise how lucky they are.
ithuriel Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I may think Danns is not very good but he certainly tries and want's to play, can't hold that against him
AdamN Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Football players have a life outside of football?! What a world we live in. Personally I expect nothing less than 12 hour training sessions every day, before every player goes home to furiously masturbate over Vicky Vixen.
Bert Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Ha, if you were in his position I'm sure you'd be living the dream too. He's not a dick at all. Stops and chats, comes across very well and should be starting for us.

StanSP Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 You're just believing what you want to believe. And you should stop. Because you're looking like a tool.
Jace Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Living the dream and playing a guitar? how dare he!? Bring in Tevez
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 No-one on here can form an opinion of this guy until he plays a run of games in the position to which he is most accustomed. Until that happens, lay off.
Callabinho Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Don't be stupid, he is a great lad! I saw him pull up outside the KP after the Madrid game, and said well played to him, he had the time to stop and have a chat, I really like danns and agree that he should get started in CM, his natural position!!!
Tielemans63 Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Ha, if you were in his position I'm sure you'd be living the dream too. He's not a dick at all. Stops and chats, comes across very well and should be starting for us. Agree with everything you've said - I spoke to him after the Southampton game and he came across as a real salt of the Earth kind of guy. To me, "living the dream" sounds completely the opposite of arrogance, it suggests he appreciates how lucky he is - how many other footballers could you say that of? To judge his personality purely on one Tweet (that you don't know the context of) is bloody stupid in the first place.
ozleicester Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Perhaps if he was getting picked to play for us he would reduce his music twitters and talk about the team. if i was him.. id just be moaning about being 5th choice behind non performing favourites.
