Nickfosse Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Know this isn't the be all and end all but when I got there early the other week for my lad to get autographs, Danns was one of the most pleasant talkative lads of the lot. I'm with Bert on this
chili_con_carne Posted 19 December 2011 Author Posted 19 December 2011 So you lot are happy for him to say in reply to - '37k wowww, not bad for warming the bench!! #musiccomesfirst' - supporter 'not bad is it #goodlife' - neil danns
accessory Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Danns hasn't done that bad so far, bearing in mind he's not part of the central clique and therefore certain players won't make it easy for him, any more than they did for Fernandes, Abe etc. With Fernandes apparently on his way out, Danns should be one of the first names on the team sheet for Boxing Day.
Nickfosse Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Its not his fault he was offered that money when he was out of contract to make hem select us over Rangers, and it wasn't his decision to put him on the bench was it. What did you want him to say "due to my poor form and relegation to the bench I have decided to donate 25000 of my early life wage to the local dogs home!
Kitchandro Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 So you lot are happy for him to say in reply to - '37k wowww, not bad for warming the bench!! #musiccomesfirst' - supporter 'not bad is it #goodlife' - neil danns He was taking the piss, he already said he isn't on 37K a week and I wouldn't have thought he is either.
Nickfosse Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 I've no idea how much he earns, but there is so much garbage spoken in respect of footballers wages, there really is. It is a large wage for a short period of early life that is determined by a competetive market in which employers are prepared to pay sums that secure the services of those whom they want.
Jay Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 if getting up every morning going to a job that you love and getting paid for it is not living the dream, can't imagine what is. The problem with twitter is that you getting people jumping on every little thing and trying to turn it into a negative. from reading Danns tweets I have formed a totally opposite opinion, to me he comes over as a decent bloke who gets some retarded comments thrown at him, many without justification.
paddy Agyemang Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 I love danns he is quality and Pearson should replace him for wellens for a game or 2 he has talent and he's not as much of a dick as you think
leicesterisme Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 So you lot are happy for him to say in reply to - '37k wowww, not bad for warming the bench!! #musiccomesfirst' - supporter 'not bad is it #goodlife' - neil danns What's the point of him even trying to say he's not on that kind of money because the person who is tweeting him is obviously that stupid to believe that's the money Danns is on. He's always came across as a great down to earth guy to me, I've followed him on twitter basiaclly since he first got it when he was at Palace and he used to do Ustream videos on a Friday night in his hotel room when Palace were playing away answering peoples questions. That dosen't give me the impression he's an arrogant person tbh.
surrifox Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Football players have a life outside of football?! What a world we live in. Personally I expect nothing less than 12 hour training sessions every day, before every player goes home to furiously masturbate over Vicky Vixen. shouldn't that be "to masturbate furiously"- ?
Callabinho Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Ita funny how we say we need a hustling CM, who will get stuck in. Well he sits on the bench, or comes on, on the wing.......start him in his damn position and stop starting Wellens and king must be the slowest double act in the league!!!
flowwolf Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 shouldn't that be "to masturbate furiously"- ? Pedantic willy puller.
StanSP Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 So you lot are happy for him to say in reply to - '37k wowww, not bad for warming the bench!! #musiccomesfirst' - supporter 'not bad is it #goodlife' - neil danns So even though he said that guy was 'way off the mark' you just chose to ignore that? Beginning to think you're on your own little wind-up. Pathetic.
marbelladave Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 I like Lee Danns. whenever I saw him play last season he looked like a quality all round player with some decent attacking / creative skills. I was actually very pleased when he signed for us. However, a few decent moments apart, he has not looked half the player he was last season. When played out wide he looks disinterested and strangely distracted, wherever he plays he looks a long way off the pace which is odd for a relatively young lad. Idealy I would love to see him get a run of games in a central position but I get the feeling NFP does not think much of him. Sadly I think all that Danns has to look forward to is being thrown in when we are desperate and if he fails to make an instant impact, quite probably in hopeless circumstances, then he will be back on the bench, or worse.

Happy Fox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 ?? LEE Danns Alan Young's preferred name to Neil Danns
marbelladave Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Alan Young's preferred name to Neil Danns I caught the Stringer and Young double act a month or so back when I had the hump and had a few games off. Young, apart from being a complete dynosaur, consistently referred to Lee Danns, so Lee Danns it is.......
DB11 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 "I'm living the dream" = "I'm only at Leicester for the money and I care not for promotion, but only my musical career"? Don't think you should be looking in to a career as a psychiatrist any time soon, mate. *Psychologist
Corky Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Replace Stringer and Young with a marbelladave/Thracian double act. With Babs in the Charles Dagnall role. Maximum publicity for this website plus detailed analysis and serious Richie Wellens criticism.

But listening to Thrac droning on for an hour about how the Academy is pointless and what Max is up to now! Not for me ta.... lol
MattyR Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 dannzy1 neil danns Just visited the kids at hospital , wonderful to see there little smiles, wish them all smooth recoverys #blessings Yeah he seem like such a nob....
Babylon Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Just visited the kids at hospital , wonderful to see there little smiles, wish them all smooth recoverys #blessings Yeah he seem like such a nob.... No quote marks in there, but I'm guessing the last part was your part and not him calling a hospitalsed child a nob With Babs in the Charles Dagnall role. I rarely listen to it, so I'm not sure if this is a compliment or a put down.
Number 6 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 I can understand people questioning his performances, but he's always come across as a decent bloke to me. I don't think choosing us over Rangers was all down to money as you can see from Rangers' season thus far. The SPL is really an awful league.
sphericalfox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Danns has not been given an opportunity to prove himself properly. How many times has he played 2 games in a row in his natural position? Yes he can occasionally play RM, but this shouldn't the rule, but the exception. I think he has quality in spades, but must be immensely frustrated at not being able to show it.
