accessory Posted 3 January 2012 Author Posted 3 January 2012 I wrote the post myself, in a tabloid stylee. Stringer's tweet was accurate though. I think it may have been wishful thinking on his part, especially now his relations with NP seem to be coming under strain again.
Thracian Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 If Pearson had've stayed here I'm gonna go as far as saying we'd be in the prem now. I've no idea what you base that on. Pearson has never shown signs of scoring the goals necessry to win promotion anywhere that i can recall. Lambert on the other hand does seem to "attack" as a manager and what's even more impressive is that he seems to get better with each club he works with.

Yeah, I mean it's not like he got us to the play-offs in a league with Newcastle, West Brom in it, as well as very strong Forest & Cardiff sides in there as well...
Pegosteve Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Sounds like Stringer is looking for more confrontation with NP.... don't fancy his chances!
Antonio85 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Could be worse. My team turned down bobby charlton, scout decided to sign the goalkeeper instead! Peter Reid narrowly missed out on Ibrahimovic and van nistelrooy. IF is a big thing in football, I'm sure there is players as well as managers where you wish things could be different. Cant help but see similarities between MON and lambert though, must admit!
