Benjaldinho Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Firstly apologies if this has appeared before and i missed it!! Me and my mate Barry were chatting earlier and he reckons the back four pretty much picks itself , i kinda dont agree! The problem for me is the two centre backs, we have 3 maybe 4 quality centre backs that given the chance would do a top class job for us! So my question is this, with aa the squad available , no injuries, suspensions or second rate international tournaments going on.... who makes your starting back 4?? I think i'd go: Peltier Mills Tunchev Konchesky
StanSP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 How would you keep Mills in and drop our best performing CB so far? Peltier Bamba Mills Konchesky. The reason why I wouldn't pick Tunchev yet is that he's only had 1 good game (vs Forest). Of course I'd want him to continue this good start on his return, but I'm not that naive to pick him as part of a best 4 based on 1 match. I don't understand how you'd not include Bamba.
Guest MattP Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Edging towards Pelts-Mills-Tunchev-Konchesky. Bamba has been excellent this year but I don't think you can ever have a solid back four with him in it, too much of a maverick and must be a nightmare to play with if your gameplan is based on a solid line. I'm actually coming round to the idea of trying him in midfield.
cairnsy Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Yeah i'd go with peltier - mills - tunch - Konchesky and then Bamba as a CDM

I'm actually coming round to the idea of tryinhiking in midfield. I have a Hibs fan and mate on Twitter and he did say that Bamba as CDM did work well while up there but I wasn't convinced. He played there vs Palace and it worked. But same rule applies with Tunchev. It'll take more than one game to convince me but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see it tried again.
Benjaldinho Posted 10 January 2012 Author Posted 10 January 2012 i like the idea of him playing CDM, and tbh on form i think tunch is better

Yeah going to be a huge difference though from Hibs in that league. Still dont think his form at Hibs could never have been that good otherwise one of the Glasgow sides would have picked him up.

jonlcfc1990 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Yeah i'd go with peltier - mills - tunch - Konchesky and then Bamba as a CDM I'd have this but i'd probably put in the new loan signing we've aquired from west Brom to partner mills and keep bamba at CDM it gives him freedom to go up and get on the end of things
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I'm phoning the OED to try and get "tryinhiking" in there, though I'm not sure on the definition yet.
Bettsj2 Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 What does your mate Barry think? I dont think many would disagree with: - Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky
