Tomassi Posted 2 July 2005 Posted 2 July 2005 Thats Leveins perogatorive, but does that mean 2 or 3 injuries and we are screwed???
Thracian Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 More than likely!!!! 131152 Sooner build responsibly and according to our pocket than have another big spend on Taylor-made-Tat putting the club in jeopardy.
lcfcking Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Yep. Levein wants key personnel and a small wage budget. Thats why theres a small squad.
Foxes1884 Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Thats Leveins perogatorive, but does that mean 2 or 3 injuries and we are screwed??? 131127 Hopefully would mean some youngsters would be given a chance.
Durnerz Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 On the other hand we're more likely to have a settled 11, plus in the O'Neill days we never had a big squad. With many Versatile players giving us the options for changes of formation etc i'm happy.
Hazza Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 My only concern is whether it will be enough with the transfer windows coming into effect in the lower leagues now. Still, hopefully any injuries will mean youngsters get a chance, as Foxes1884 said. I'd rather that were to happen than getting numbers in for the sake of it.
Gené and Tonic Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 If Wilcox and Tiatto get injured, hopefully Wesoloski will be thrown in. The same thing happened with Downing and look where it got him.
Hitesh Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Yeah...most points i agree with. We are screwed if there are inuries but then it gives youngsters a chance. But, is this a good idea bearing in mind that there is a transfer window? I do think we should try and sign some youngsters to build a good youth team and then they could have a chance in the first team. But then this would mean a frustrating time in mid-table Championship for at least another season IMO.
Sir Fynwy Posted 4 July 2005 Posted 4 July 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4641029.stm There will be plenty of out of contract players around after the transfer window closes (take a look at the link) if the rules are the same as last year, players that are unattached will be able to sign for clubs anytime, if we get a major injury crisis we can always try to get some of these in (obviously not the 2 in the article though).
