They were really bad though, I can sort of understand why Man U and himself wouldn't wanna risk getting injured in a pointless friendly or a worthless qualifier. The fact that they bring his name up as a future manager of Wales is a bit of a joke though. Rather have a shit commited player than a brilliant player who showed up when he could be arsed. We came closer to qualifying for 04 than you did for 08. Not that you're necessarily wrong but you are exaggerating somewhat.

It looks bad but 900 games at Manchester united will give Ryan Giggs more medals trophies challenges and memories than 900 games for any international team

Fair point, I apologise, wasn't trying to be derogatory, but I can see how it came across with 'really bad' bit. When I said it I was thinking more 90's (Bobby Gould era) when he was the golden boy.
