Rahul Dravid retires

[Corky]

One of cricket's greatest batsmen has retired from the game.

Rahul Dravid played 164 Test matches for India, scoring 13,288 runs. Also played in 344 ODIs, scoring over 10,000 runs.

Wonderful player and a class act too.

Goodbye to the Wall

Absolute legend of the game. Feel privileged to have seen him play once in Bangalore.

He shall be missed on the international scene.

Good luck in the future, Rahul!

One of the nice guys of cricket, somewhat in Sachins shadow, but still a great.

Fantastic cricketer. Though he hasn't actually retired from the game, just international cricket. Sorry to be pedantic, but he will still be playing in the IPL apparently.

Fantastic player. The real rock of the side.

Can't disagree with you there. Test cricket all the way.

Played one series too many tho, was putrid over here in the test series. May have even been pushed as they are crying out for some younger players.

Still a very good career

Stats from wikipedia:

For some reason the one test wicket amuses me. Compared to his monster runs stats it just seems an odd juxstaposition with his wickets column.

Sorry had to edit as it when the post reformated it screwed up the stats column so you can just check them on the link instead.
