Guest Col city fan Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 I dont think this has worked. Against Dull for example, there must have been at least three times second half when Kasper simply hoofed it into touch. So much so, I wasnt sure whether this was done on purpose to waste time? One of the problems this season, under both managers, has been not being able to retain the ball in at key times in the game, and this big kick stuff usually ends up giving the ball straight back to whoever we are playing. Neither Nuge or Becks are big enough, or strong enough, to be able to control the kick, bring it down and simply shield it or lay it off. It works sometimes of course, but not a tactic that seems successful enough for me in terms of ball retention.

whoareyaaa Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 It should deffenatly be used if Kaspers spots Beckford 2 on 1 or 1 on 1... Although Ive always swayed to the keeper rolling out to the defenders and building from the back I hate hopeless kicks that just give possesion back to the oppistion seen it way to often now days.
