carlhltid Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 from defence to attack in a second . this seems to be working now it should get us a few goals and great to watch
Jimmy Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 It's been tried all season and we haven't scored from it once
Out Foxed Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 It's been tried all season and we haven't scored from it once the nod down to nuge was from a kasper kick was it not? in the norwich game
Ashley Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 I think it will happen to be honest or Schmeichel will actually score through the bounce out doing the defender, Beckford and the keeper. I enquired about Kasper Schmeichel scoring for us at any time and in any competition. I got the reply from William Hill "You can have 100/1 for him to score any time this season or next for Leicester City
Libertine Dream Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 I thought it'd get us a few goals at the start of the season but hasn't really done much. Doesn't help that Kasper's distribution is getting worse by the game.
AKCJ Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Hobbs and Chester caught onto this very quickly. I saw Hobbs run back to mark Becks several times when Kasper got a goal kick.

carlhltid Posted 26 March 2012 Author Posted 26 March 2012 i think its working now been getting us some corners on the attack
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 the nod down to nuge was from a kasper kick was it not? in the norwich game No !
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Even if nothing comes from it, the fact you can't be offside from a goalkick means Becks can stand on the edge of their area and even if he fails to win a header, we're 50 yards further forward than most would be after a goal kick.
Out Foxed Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 yeah i just watched it again. still doesn't really matter it's the same concept. hoofing the ball from the edge of the box.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 I like Beckford but it'll never work consistently cos he's got the touch of Ultra meeting a teen blonde.
????? Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 It's been tried all season and we haven't scored from it once Nugents double against Watford?
carlhltid Posted 26 March 2012 Author Posted 26 March 2012 sure there was one at chelsea that led to a goal and got us some free kicks for fouls on beckford
Bluefoxtim Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 It has (nearly) worked plenty of times this season. A better tactic than waiting and kicking it to the 'target man' on the wing, who inevitably misses the header to concede a throw-in. *cough* Gallagher
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Woman linesman at Reading kept putting her flag up for offside which was embarrassing.
Saxondale Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Schmeichel's big kick is a bloody good thing to have in the toolbox. Yeah, it doesn't work everytime, but so what. His distribution seems to have gone a bit errant recently but that's probably because he's got a bit too confident with it. Most 'keeper we've had in the past would just blast it up to about the half way line where it becomes a battle for possession anyway.
Out Foxed Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFK1LKrS1UI let's see this today
Ozwin Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 I like Beckford but it'll never work consistently cos he's got the touch of Ultra meeting a teen blonde. Wut? His touch is immense.
Finnegan Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Wut? His touch is immense. Is this the part where I go to protest and you shout bazinga?
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Even if it doesn't work a lot of the time it does force the opposition defence to play deep.
Out Foxed Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Even if it doesn't work a lot of the time it does force the opposition defence to play deep. that's not necessarily a good thing.

Most 'keeper we've had in the past would just blast it up to about the half way line where it becomes a battle for possession anyway. Can't argue with this really. I think he needs to put a little bit more thought into when he executes it though. There was a moment on Saturday when it made so much more sense to just keep hold of the ball and regroup but instead he went for the big kick and ended up shanking it out for a throw and putting us back under pressure. On the whole though, it is a good thing to have in our team.
