We will not get any single one of them, Sanago signed for Man Utd on my football manager. Plus Jose Baxter ain't all that either, and yes I follow Everton aswell as Leicester, he has talent but can't cut it in the first team, or with the youngsters Everton have had to try out in recent years, he would be on the bench every week.

I did not once quote that we could sign any of these players, my thread was clearly pointing out the fact that we all know about these players but never even attempt a bit, no we get players nobody has ever heard of that do nothing!

Name me every leicester player that pearson has signed and then filter out all the ones that could make it in the premier league, then come back to me with the list, it will NOT be a long list.

Thats a good point but that was only a loan for the off season if i remember, His buyout clause is too much... plus he will most likely retire soon enough, would have been good PR but a bad investment, still... have him over gallagher anyday.

We need to /build/ a team like Swansea, Norwich, Southampton & Reading... Buying supposed players who can cut it in the Premiership is stupid a) We did that, it didn't work b) why would players who can cut it in Prem come to a midtable Championship outfit... For the money? what like Fernandes, Johnson, Ball, Mills & co who didn't realise you actually need effort & to perform as a team to get anywhere in this division, the toughest second flight in the world?

No thanks, I'd sooner we build, build & build with young players like Marshall & Drinky & similar along with a couple of older heads who'll grow together & become better than the sum of their parts.

Teamwork is the only thing that will get you in the Prem & its the only thing which will keep you there

Whatever our playing staff - be it spoiled superstars with inflated egos or non-leageurs determined to make their names we need a manager who can cope with the temperament of emotional footballers with different personalities. Being tough is not about sidelining people, it is getting all kinds to want to play for you.

From all I've seen so far this season we've improved very little in terms of effect. Either individually, collectively or philosophically. We are mentally too woolly and unimaginative and we rarely do enough to try and win games.

Our defenders hardly ever score from set pieces, the fans sing enthusiastically when we win a corner and yet we never look likely to score from them. Our movement in so many matches is schoolboy standard and we still don't actually operate as a unit.

Football teams need individuals but it doesn't matter if they've proved their potential or are just showing it, the manager needs to be able to mould them into a single unit that blends together so fluidly they will competitively live and die for one another.

Watching Forest only confirmed that we don't function as a team. Individually our makeshift midfield was okay with Bamba's enthusiasm being uplifting and Marshall one of our greater threats but overall our midfield operated separately for much of the time rather than driving forward when we were attacking and hurrying back with the rest to defend.

Consequently we lacked anything like the numbers in the box necessary to unsettle Forest's Joe Average defence. We need to get five and six in the box not one or two. Who Dares might not always win but at least they will have a chance of succeeding but we don't dare enough.

It is not about talent even now, it is about attitude and understanding of what is required and, sadly, we don't seem to have a clue how to function consistently as a unit, either when attacking or defending.

Forest achieved 0-0 for one simple reason on Tuesday. A lack of pressure. We all but owned the ball throughout but we didn't force the opposition to make mistakes by asking endless questions and asking them quickly, relentlessly and in ever-increasing numbers .

Fans are roused by hard, committed footbalers who will tackle like Danns but I'm impressed by ruthlessness...the ruthlessnes to bury one chance if that's all we get or to drive into a team and score 10 goals if they're not capable of resisting.

The ruthlessness to make every corner and free-kick cause danger, to shoot from everywhere and anywhere if there's an opening, to send kamikaze's into the box a la MON when we get the chance, to pressure as hard in the last minute as the first...and much, much more.

I'd never change the team minutes from the end to waste time or run the ball into a corner because the very concept of doing that is a concession to the opposition and smacks of not believing your players can't pressure their way to victory. It's an insult to your trust in them.

Winning teams set their own standards and they don't backchat the referee. They don't ever speak to him because he has nothing whatsoever to do with the opposition and the focus needed to destroy that opposition.

We're not winners, we just make sounds and gestures to give the impression we want to win. Winners concede nothing except on their terms.
