Guy Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 On the contrary I think it just goes to show how piss poor the rest of the league was and we were no better. Too right, the fact that Reading were bottom but one in mid September, were never really anything out of the ordinary throughout (just consistent) and who will surely now win the league, sums up how poor the league has been - and how much it was there for the taking for the likes of us and our joint favourites, West Ham before a ball was kicked. A spectacular fail for us, exacerbated by the money spent on a team of misfits this time around in a Championship season where we'll never have it so easy to gain promotion in again for a long time!

Yeh exactly. Birmingham and Cardiff are two more very average teams. Southampton were in league one last season and have led the way for most of it. They shouldn't be so much better than most teams but they are. And what about Watford. What an awful, awful team they were when we beat them 2-0, worst team we've played all season. Yet they will finish comfortably in midtable.
Bettsj2 Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Too many to mention. Forest away summed up Sven's reign nicely. 2-0 up and battering them. If we went for the kill, we would have stuck 4 past them easily as at that point they were probably at their worst. Instead we tried to sit on the lead and invited the inevitable pressure that lead to us drawing instead of winning. Cardiff away was a similar thing. We were obviously better than them but instead of high tempo and putting them to the sword, we played it cagey and played out a drab scoreless draw. Then again there was Watford away, Brizzle City away, Blackpool away......... you know what, **** it. This is making me depressed. I'm gonna put Britains Got Talent on. Makes watching Leicester look like the visual equivalent of banging Megan Fox.
