ScouseFox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Agree with Kitch, gotta be Barnsley at home. No idea how he's the only one to mention it before me, that afternoon was one of the worst I can remember in a long, long time. Worse than the majority of our relegation season, both performance and general detest from the fans wise.
lestajigs Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Away-Birmingham, a waste of a day and money,.... Home-reading a big anti climax let down
Raw Dykes Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Reading at home was horrible. Really depressing and embarrassing stuff. Mills looked like he'd never played football before in his life.
coatsworthstache Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Barnsley at home, Ipswich at home (more points lost at home to toss). Watford away. Some enjoyable games though, Derby at home, Palace away.
AKCJ Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Reading, first home game of the season was the worst IMO. At the time nobody gave them a chance for promotion and they played with Mattieu Manset and Noel Hunt up front and they won 2-0. Only game this season that I've walked out early from.
PAULCFC Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Tuesday night....Didn't really wan't to go to then walked out at half time.....season ticket for next year is up in the air at the moment!
Out Foxed Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Reading at home was horrible. Really depressing and embarrassing stuff. Mills looked like he'd never played football before in his life. yeah that was atrocious. a nice foreshadowing of the season. millwall away for me. completely toothless performance and just seeing the slim chance of us getting to the play offs slip away.
Karljohn Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 For me its those 3 lousy draws at home with Peterborough, Ipswich and Portsmouth, lost so much ground against 3 poor teams, the Forest and Doncaster games were truly awful, lacking a sophisticated pass to unlock the packed defence.
Spudulike Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 If the Bristol City home match was bad enough, the Ashton Gate return was truely the moment I gave up. Grim, just grim. I'm still traumatised by it.
Matt Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 You'd be better of asking 'whats was least frustrating game of the season' the question you have asked is quite hard as there are too many to choose from, having said that it's hard to pick the least frustrating game of the season aswell as for me they have all merged into one as a frustrating season.

That ones easy, forest at home in the cup, mainly because they where awful
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 West Ham was bad. Two goals conceded quickly. Hitting the bar in the last few mins too, narrowly missing out on a point West Ham was good, we had caretakers in charge, first half shocking then Big Steve came on changed game around and the whole team were brilliant!
5waller5 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Bristol City at home, for disappointment really expected to do better .... Burnley at home for frustration - knew not to expect anything and got exactly what I expected!!!
armstonfox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Cant decide from list below which i attended: Forest away (League and cup) Bristol City home Pompey Home and away Doncaster away Barnsley Home Millwall Home Reading Home Ipswich Home Watford away West Ham away Leeds Home P'boro Home
mbmb10 Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 Frustrating- millwall away. 3 points off the play-off and even some pessimistic fans were starting to believe that we had a real chance, first 10 minutes we looked like we were going to score 3 goals that match. Then it all went downhill, I had my head in my hands that game, it hit me that can never be simple with Leicester.
Des. Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 Barnsley was horrible Millwall of course Being 2-0 up at Forest and blowing it Bristol City, Watford the list goes on...
Jakemoore Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 Away at Watford was poor! We were shocking even though we came back after their first goal and all looked well, for about ten minutes anyway! We offered nothing in attack really! And to sum it up, beer wasn't available from the ground on the night -_- I always find positives though, nugents celebration was great! Away at Watford was poor! Les-TA-Jon Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 Worst Home Performance: 0-3 Millwall Worst Away Performance: 1-2 Millwall Most Frustrating Home Performance: 0-0 Forest Most Frustrating Away Performance: 1-2 Doncaster Most Annoying Home Result & Game: 1-2 Barnsley Most Annoying Away Result & Game: 2-2 Forest What does this tell you about our season eh?
harpendenfox Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 when you read about the catalogue of poor performances this season, and the fact that we still weren't far off the play offs, it does at least in some perverse kind of way make me feel that with the right tweaks we could and should do better next season. We so badly need a steady start next season. Doesn't matter if we don't get off to a flier, but a couple of wins at home, and a couple of controlled draws away.

On the contrary I think it just goes to show how piss poor the rest of the league was and we were no better.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 West Ham was good, we had caretakers in charge, first half shocking then Big Steve came on changed game around and the whole team were brilliant! Yes I know, but had we not let two goals in so soon after the other, it'd have been a cracking day out. The matches always spoil the day out when we're in London
Guy Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 I was only able to get to a grand total of four games at King Power last season and none away so I'm not really qualified to give a fair judgement on here. Of the four games I witnessed though three were very bad - a three way toss up between Leeds, Portsmouth and Ipswich at home. Portsmouth was probably the worst but as I got a £10 deal for a ticket (for suffering paying the full price for the Ipswich Boxing Day game a week before!), then it cushioned the blow! Meanwhile I only witnessed one win all season long against a woeful Coventry side at home. The other three sides who we failed to beat were equally woeful though and its little wonder we never made the play offs!!
