Lcfc Jordan Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 just rememebering all the times this season i have been frustrated by this squad of players , we have good players at this level and i dont get why we are not performing well enough! anyway little rant over, for me its doncaster away we dominated the game like most games this season, but somehow couldnt string two passes together on most occasions, it was freezing cold up north and the players showed no effort at all , we had tons of corners gallagher took them but like on so many occasions couldnt beat the first man, some how me took the lead but then for doncaster to get one back and then we collapsed with billy sharp scoring a screamer, one thing il always remember about that game is the wellens miss about 4 yards out and he hit it wide oh well an end to another promising season
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Tuesday night was tragic, summed it up for me.
Lcfc Jordan Posted 19 April 2012 Author Posted 19 April 2012 yeah was very frustrating had to let out a booo not gunna lie
Corky Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Worst- Millwall (H)- a totally abject and miserable display of incompetence. Most frustrating- Peterborough (H)- Plenty of chances not converted and two points carelessly thrown away by non-existant defending.
Mark_w Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Bristol City at Home deserves a shout, after the Reading game I was sure we'd bounce back with a result. That sort of game at Home is one we shouldn't have been loosing and Maynard getting the goals as well made it all the more difficult to take. Probably wasn't as bad as I'm remembering it but pretty disappointing certainly.
Guesty Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Millwall at home. Thats when I realised all the build-up and hype for the season was a bit misplaced and we wern't as good as I thought we were.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Take your pic Barnsley H A Doncaster A Forest A H Milwall A Peterborough A H Portsmouth A H Blackpool A Too too many
Larry_LCFC Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 I think it was a just a pathetic and frustrating season fullstop. Why pick out one game when you can pick them all. Even in the ones we won we were still crap!
RonnieTodger Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Forest, Brighton and Hull All 3 games I went to and in all 3 you were just waiting for them to get a late goal after we had a man sent off. Sure enough, in all 3 they got it.
Gubbins Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Personally Im going to have to go for Forest away in the FA cup. Not the worst performance of the season or as maddening as the league game but the fact that we just cant seem to win at the City Ground no matter how awful Forest play just absolutely kills me. It is pretty difficult for non-st ticket holders to get tickets to Forest away so this FA Cup tie where plenty of tickets were available against a Forest side who were only a few steps above pub level was probably the best chance that I may ever have of seeing us win there. But no the boys in blue put in a typically mediocre performance and get a bore draw. I will never forgive Dyer for blasting over from 5 yards with the goal at his mercy
PegguyArphexad Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Most frustrating: Southampton away... knowing how good we can be and then knowing that we can't play like that every week.
Fox92 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Worst games for me include Millwall (h) and Reading (h). Millwall (a) was frustrating. Having loads of chances and looking like we were going to beat them in the first 10 minutes, to nothing after that. And a poor referee.
Father Ted Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Worst has to be Burnley the other night, wasn't even worth turning up. Most frustrating would have to be Peterborough away, our play-off hopes riding on it, chance after chance and we just couldn't score.
foxesfan1989 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Bristol City 2-1 loss at home. I was just so shocked at the result really. Makes more sense now considering how the season panned out, but at that point i thought we were going to be title contenders.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 West Ham was bad. Two goals conceded quickly. Hitting the bar in the last few mins too, narrowly missing out on a point
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 West Ham was bad. Two goals conceded quickly. Hitting the bar in the last few mins too, narrowly missing out on a point West Ham was quality! Even though we lost.
irDeano Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Bristol City at home, apart from Millwall nothing even comes close for me.
Earl Shilton Lee Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Bristol City at home for me. I'd let the Reading game go as losing to a decent side. They had reached the play off final a couple of months earlier, after all. It was after the Bristol City game that I started to worry that we were actually just a bit crap. The Millwall game at the KP was another. Until they scored I thought we did okay. We didn't play well exactly but we didn't look to be in any trouble either. It felt as though they had three chances at put them away. Which probably isn't borne out by the match statistics. The consequences of that game were ridiculous. Sacking Eriksson so early was just silly. You don't let a bloke spend that sort of money without giving him the season to fashion a team out of his new recruits. I hope Pearson is afforded more time than Eriksson was.
Kitchandro Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 You want me to narrow it down?! OK, well Donny away was just a horrific performance. The two league games against Forest - away because I thought we were going to do it after 39 years and then we get stitched up by that scumbag of a ref, and let it slip in stoppage time. Seeing and hearing them throwing their weight around through the streets after like they'd just won the cup final and laughing at how terrible we were (having dominated them for 70 minutes) really rubbed it in. And the home game was just a tragic atmosphere and football match. I haven't been to a home match since and only went to Peterborough cos I'd already got a ticket, so yeh that was really bad. Reading at home was bad, not enjoyable in the slightest. Leeds at home was even worse, just felt so deflated and fed up after that one. And Barnsley. Fvcking hell Barnsley. What a shocker that was.
