Middle class turning to shoplifting

True for the majority of people. But being a dotty old lady or having kids to control may change the situation.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid in my old age.

We'll all have a barcode in chips inside our wrists soon enough.

That'll put a stop to shoplifting because you will have to scan your wrist just to get in the blummin shop in the first place to prove you have the funds, and to give your name and address so they can come knocking if by some miracle you get out of these 'slave shops' with stolen goods.

Word.

You can't half tell the Mercury is owned by the Daily Mail reading the wording of that article.

How dare they show such openly differing attitudes to middle-class snobs who are too snobbish to tighten their belts, swallow their pride and shop at Lidl instead of Waitrose when they were all but calling for public lynchings of the rioters last year.

The rioters last year were thieving, feckless morons but how is this any different? There are many homeless and jobless people who steal out of desperation and/or necessity, rightly or wrongly, whereas the people they're treating with kid gloves here are being far more selective and nicking the luxuries.

That sounds great. I can't be bothered with a big bulging wallet and always forget my pin number. 2 birds one stone. Sign me up.

Yeah, but Bilo, they've been affected by the recession and can't afford the luxury items they once could. You must feel for them.

It sounds great in theory, if being implemented by honest bankers and governments. However, I don't think it'll end up being much fun for the majority of people in the new system, and I'm sure it's just another stepping stone towards total control.

The way things look at the moment we are moving towards an online world in regards to shopping, but I think that we're about to take a backwards step in that regard. Maybe a major war that will raise fuel prices five fold and make delivery too expensive. WW3 will also make overseas shipping more dangerous and less likely. I also think that during the next world war, the internet will be off limits to most people for some phoney reason. (the real reason will be to stop people reporting things that contradict the official stories)

So, in brief, I think that megastores, and not online shopping are the future! And with the barcode entry and exit scheme, the poor are going to have real trouble finding enough food, especially in cities and big towns.

That's all in the DOOM world of course. It may never happen.

ST LEDGERRRRRRRRRRRRR lol
