MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 So, Mr. Krazydipper, I think it's time we finally meet up. It's going to be a great game and I can't wait to see that matchup with a newly-promoted Premiership team. Of course, I am not a Black Cats fan, but the chance of seeing them play here on the West Coast is exciting. Any suggestions for a gathering before the game? Are ya in for a pub? There are less than 400 tickets remaining in the 5200+ Swangard Stadium and the organisators expect a sell-out. Luckily, I got hold of a five-game match package early on for just 45 bucks... Hitesh Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 Surely this should be in General Football and Sport? But come on Vancouver!

Steven Posted 14 July 2005 Posted 14 July 2005 This will never happen, SF will go to the game and KD will not be seen anywhere.
MC Prussian Posted 15 July 2005 Author Posted 15 July 2005 One more day to go. 138722[/snapback] And he's still not around. But I called him up this afternoon and left a message... TO BE CONTINUED...
Hitesh Posted 16 July 2005 Posted 16 July 2005 I have seen Krazydipper around the forum today...dunno if he has seen this thread yet but me posting will put it back to the top!
MC Prussian Posted 17 July 2005 Author Posted 17 July 2005 Well, kd neither replied nor showed up, but I went to the Swangard this evening and it was pretty hilarious. Tons of (wannabe) Sunderland supporters were present and the stadium was pretty much sold-out. The Black Cats, in all-black kits, played crap of the highest degree, a very lacklustre performance for a Premiership team. No initiative, bad passes, no fire, no passion, no drive. McCarthy must have been quite frustrated. The defenders were a bit nifty and committed a couple of debateable fouls. The midfield was almost non-existing, apart from Carl Robinson (number 4), who had a little bit of an impact. The strikers couldn't put themselves in good position or were denied by the brilliant Whitecaps goalkeepers. I didn't see Stead at all, very much contained. Speaking of the local team: You couldn't tell that there are mostly semi-professionals at work. No big names apart from Carlo Corazzin or Martin Nash. They had fun while playing, remained concentrated and destroyed the Black Cats' system from the beginning. Always pretty much in control. No surprise that Sunderland lost 3-0 in the end. Have a laff!
