Because he was assuming that the majority, if not all of the population in Leicester is Indian/Islamic. Even though I was quite clearly was attempting to join in with or start the banter (which is more than what most people do on FoxesTalk). I know Shaff isn't racist too and I think it's quite clear he knew I was joking. But then there's people who don't know how to have a bit of fun. Suit yourself.
