Pearson's Job Security and the Owners' Expectations

Recommended Posts

They did put a time limit in place, which is why Sven was sacked - he was slipping outside the allotted schedule. Maybe you were asleep or on holiday. In any event perhaps you should be more circumspect when you deride other posters.

Maybe you were asleep or on holiday - No, Sven was not sacked because he didn't meet a time limit, they have never put a time limit in place - I think there may have been one to be able to keep Cronus Sports Management on board, but since Asian Football Investments (the Raksriaksorns company) took sole ownership they have consistently said that promotion is of course the aim but have declined to put a time limit on it.

Sven was sacked because of a run of results stretching from Feb 22nd (defeat at Cardiff away) to October 22nd (defeat to Millwall at home)

3 months at the end of one season and 3 months at the start of the next we were never, ever above mediocre and were frequently pretty rubbish and we took something like 30 points from 81, and that's despite accruing more players than you could possibly play in three teams, never mind one. Most of them on Premiership wages and on big money & high agent fee moves.

It was nothing like this season where we go a couple of games where we play the opposition off the park and the ball just won't go in - which is when idiots on here chime up about what they think the owners will do to Pearson (which is code for what those idiots want to do to Pearson)

Which is why I'd stand by the post (shown below) that you replied you to, whether we win 6-1 or suffer a couple of shitty 0-1 defeats.

Yep - They're obviously confident

They're here for the long haul, they want promotion of course, have never put a time limit on it - unlike most people on here who seem happy to put words in the owner's mouth, making out the owners think this or think that... just because it suits the point the commenter is making.

They realised their mistake in getting someone vastly unsuitable for the league, they realised their mistake in allowing things to become unsustainable - they've rectified both their mistakes with their managerial appointment and as long as the curve is upwards I'm sure he'll be here for the duration of his contract.

The overwhelming majority of the signings are all yet to reach their prime so will continue to grow & improve together & could have long careers at the club.

Tellingly, NP has been given money to reinforce the squad in January... This sort of spending is usually restricted to certain goals being met - it's safe to say he's met them. Compare that with the Blackburn & Forest situation who got rid of their managers immediately prior to the 'spending period'.

It's obvious he's going nowhere - so every ****ing idiot on here may as well just pull in the same direction as everybody else and stop projecting their own opinion on "what the owners will do"

We've seen what they'll actually do, we don't need posts from fools saying "what the owners will do" it's their actions which talk and by giving NP money to spend (*edit* prior to comfortable home win) - which speaks volumes about their choice of manager through to at least the summer.
