leicestermark Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 A night that sticks out for me is when we lost 3-2 at Brighton at the Withdean a few years back, having led 2-0 at half time. All 5 goals up the other end (miles away), absolutely freezing night. Hobbs putting in a last minute own goal to lose it. Watford away in the play offs last will always be the worst I've felt after a game. Burton in the league cup last season too, getting hammered 4-2 was a bad night.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 I remember losing at home to Port Vale 1-0 early 90's, if memory served me correctly they scored very early and pretty much time wasted for the rest of the game, horrendous viewing. I remember that game very well. Their goal was a fluke cross come shot in the first minute. We absolutely pummeled them for eighty nine minutes though. Chance after chance. But couldn't score. It was a sickener, but my shout had to Spurs league cup final. Shite game and to lose at the end, gutted. I remember thinking 'we still get extra time don't we? As all my sense had left me when they scored.
leicsmac Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 I can't imagine anyone who was a Leicester fan at the time of the Wycombe game actually thinking about not putting that as their worst match. The older boys who were around for Harlow, perhaps. The result, and the consequences for the club that near-directly stemmed from it, we're still feeling now, 13 years down the line. Even getting relegated to League 1 after that Stoke game hasn't had such far reaching consequences (though that was a fvcking awful day).
