fleckneymike Posted 15 March 2013 Author Posted 15 March 2013 I haven't seen Wellens play this season so I don't know. I just object to people cherry picking statistics to scapegoat players they don't like . I could use Fleckney's logic to blame Drinkwater for the current bad form, but it would be unfair to single him out. I deliberately chose March as otherwise I'd have been accused of going further back to add more defeats to his record. I'm not blaming him for the defeats, what those stats illustrate is that bringing him back in will not improve things as when he's been part of a midfield including Drinkwater and Marshall he's had no positive impact on results. I do believe it is deluded to think he'll improve the side, just as I think its deluded when in the midst of a bad run fans apply the logic 'the lads will be really up for this one'.
Izzet is God Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Do we really have any amazing CMs at the club???? IMO Drinkwater and King are the best two we have but even King hasn't been that good this season. Wellens is not the player he was but he's not solely to blame for our lack of 'turning up for games'. At least he's getting a chance in the team....Neil Danns anyone?
