Singer Michael Jackson is reported to have attempted to purchase it for his private collection in 1985 but was refused." http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Joseph-Merrick That proof enough? 144535[/snapback] If they say so, then it must be true? I don't understand what kind of proof you want, it's not like there's an authority on what Michael Jackson collects. I think the fact that it's widely recognised as a rumour that he bought it, and possibly the fact that IT'S ON PERMANANT DISPLAY IN THE ROYAL LONDON HOSPITAL might point towards Michael jackson not owning it.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 On a side note, Joseph Merrick is also rumoured to have helped to design the East Stand, also referred to as the matchstick stand at Filbert Street, last sentance here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Merrick
