DennisNedry Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 Ken, here's the solutions for homeless people without jobs: a) Bring back the workhouses! b) Or, tell them to commit a crime and get in prison. Prison will feel very cushy after being on the streets.
Ross-Kemp Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 People that say there are no jobs out there are talking absolute tripe. I'm 22, I've worked at McDonalds, I've swept streets for the council, I even bloody worked in the pound shop. I did what I needed to do to stay in employment and keep the money coming in. There are jobs, people just don't want to do them. Big difference !

There are jobs, people just don't want to do them. Big difference ! I tend to agree, if you really need to work then you will find it. Jobs such as shelf stackers in supermarkets are always available. I know that some people like to make out that almost all unemployed people on benefits are trying hard to find work, I'd put it more in the region of two thirds. The other third being very happy to sponge, who have that vile sense of entitlement to a taxpayer provided home and benefits. Unfortunately wages are just too low, and inflation of all prices is too high, so there is little incentive to work. Even middle class familes who were comfortable 5 years ago are now struggling, so people on the minimum wage are bound to be feeling the pain.
