I need to change the theme. Its not suited for what I want.

i like it, the layout looks good and easy to follow, I would prefer a more colourful/ interesting background but as it is, it leaves you to concentrate on the text :-)

Yes it's going to be mainly text and short pieces. May look for another colour background but don't want to overdo it. My aim is to do more writing/poetry. Ideas are not a problem, it's actually making the effort to write stuff down. All those on there are new within the last week. Trying not to put old stuff on.

maybe a background with understated (almost watermarks) on it just to give it depth. and something related to poetry/ writing, maybe some old style calligraphy?

Thanks although I'm trying to avoid the controversial stuff and keep it lighthearted. I could catagorise them then people would have a choice. I'm a bit of a cynic though so they all may appear different to different people.

Whhoooaawooowwaaaa!!!! That is BLUE!!!!! Personally think its a bit much. (not that i can talk with my background) but i think with your content being the main thing you should keep it simpler :-)

Yes not very subtle is it? Think I need something on the right hand side or centre the contents. With some of the lines being short it looks odd. I don't want to fill it up too much with other things. Makes it complicated and harder to maintain.

But will simple get the hits? Do people want videos, images links etc or is there an audience that just want a quick look?

to be honest, the feedback I got when I asked about more hits was to just concentrate on doing what I wanted unless I wanted to be an internet sensation (unlikely) so I would just carry on with what your doing and plug it with friends etc. on social networking sites :-)

Change the theme again. Simple black and white Chalkboard. Centred some content. Only thing a couple of titles overlap but I think  overall it looks a lot better.

I've added a new poem. I think it's the saddest one I've written and no it is not about a homeless person or somebody disabled or on benefits. It is about a long time relationship.

Silly question really about my blog. In the second part I have Rantings of a Free Bus Pass Holder and it doesn't seem right.

I think Rantings of a Holder of a Free Bus Pass is better grammar but not so eye catching. Am I allowed poetic license with the first?

I'm sure readers will know what it means and no Grammar Nazi on here has mentioned it yet.

I've printed off a little booklet. Got 6 so far. I have others but I want these to be all new ones. 30 and I can do another book. got enough with older ones so maybe two. A bit too ambitious I expect considering I'm struggling to sell the one I've done.

I've just added another poem. Took longer than I thought it would. It came from a challenge yesterday. There was a story in one of the papers about a swearing parrot and I was asked to write a poem on a rude parrot.

I've added a couple of aps and moved recent posts to the bottom. Words were being cut off. I have a calendar and hit count now. Most so far have been me.

Tried to do a poem at lunchtime. Couldn't think of anything so wrote one about being unable to write one. Not very good but may put it up later or in the morning.

I need a better keyboard but only have the one with the laptop. Can they have external keyboards?

As I am typing a thought has occurred. Screen keyboard.
