a french lad i know was over recently and i told him how we pronounced it. he was a bit perplexed. i've told the story before but the time me and one of the secretaries laughed at another student because he pronounced it belvwar was probably the highlight of my 3 years at uni, which, probably says more about how much i enjoyed uni.
