Mack Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 I read that this agreement with DMU give the club free labour in a work placement scheme. So, you may as a student get a ticket for £5, but the following week you may well be expected to scrub the urinals with a tooth brush..... It seems the club are not quite happy to give away cheap tickets to people who don't even support the club, yet the loyal paying fans get little reward for their efforts. In addition students of whom a large proportion aren't even from Leicester are not even likely to become regular full paying supporters in the future, making it a pointless exercize. If the club were giving cheap tickets to local schools or sporting organisations etc I think it would be more acceptable, but a bunch of non caring soap dodgers is a bit of an insult to paying fans. Kitchandro Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 The scale doesnt matter. Stealing a pound of someone isnt any less wrong than stealing a million. The victim matters. Stealing from an innocent old lady is much worse than 'stealing' from a big company whose representatives are trying to rip you off at every turn. They're the ones who want to play hardball, if they want to charge extortionate prices, don't expect people just to go along with it. There's the rules and then there's doing what's right. Any fan who 'scams' the club out of a few quid is doing the right thing.
