the guest stars are the best bit, the rest i just find myself thinking 'yep, david brent would have said that' etc, especially the whole church meeting bit last night, that was straight out of the office.

yeah...to much David Brent. I dont think he will every get away from that!

Some of it is funny but overall its not his best work.

Its poor! All he does is take the piss out of people less fortunate than himself and recycle jokes he did on the 11 o'clock show which, I may add, are jokes he actually scaved off someone else! Talentless is not the word.

Before I saw the Extras I just thought Gervais would be Brent without a beard but after watching it I realyl honestly don't think Andy Millman is anything like Brent.

Of course they resemblences but that is because they are both played by the same person, the same arguement could be put against most comedy actors.

The Extras is very different to The Office, which is probably why people don't like it at the moment. I don't think Extras will ever be a cult programme like The Office because it's not based in a situation people can associate with and there aren't enough regular characters.

However The Extras makes me laugh and it is a very good comedy, it's flat at times but other times its hilarious.
