Everyone around us slipped up today too so it's not too drastic. Just means the pack below (Forest etc) closed up a bit but still a nice cushion to 7th. 

 

If you look at it another way, think of the teams who you'd expect to be around the top at the end of the season. 

 

We're level with QPR, 6 pts ahead of Forest, 8 ahead of Burnley, 9 ahead of Watford, 11 ahead of Brighton and 13 ahead of Wigan. As stupid as it sounds, as long as we keep ahead of them we'll be where we want to be in the summer.

So basically you are saying... If we play how we are now.. and every other team in the league doesn't improve, we will get promoted?

 

If other teams start to play well and we average 2 points a game, we won't be promoted....

 

On your calculations we are 2 goal difference from NOT being automatically promoted... hardly in the bag...
