inckley fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Don't look at the loss. A loss is a loss.. End of Look at the MANNER of the loss.. That's more important. In the second half, we were abject. I'm afraid I was sat there, listening to the Forest scum singing their hearts out, thinking that we could have played for hours today without scoring. That's the worrying thing. And I didn't get the subs? Taking off Lloyd (pace) and Knocky (skill) to bring on Hammond and GTF? Eh? Why? We were 0-2 down? Strange. Pearson's substitutions have worked out more than once this year, but today they were plain silly. It was no surprise that we created nothing after voluntarily removing all of our creative players. That said, the game wasn't lost through substitutions any more than it was lost by the referee. It was lost because of a miss by Lloyd Dyer, another by Gary Taylor-Fletcher, and 3-4 more by a striker who has been largely disappointing all season, except from the occasions when he's given a penalty to tuck away. And today he couldn't even do that. People have quite rightly been pointing out for a long time now that Nugent isn't doing enough and that penalty goals (which could have been scored by Gallagher, equally) have masked a largely lacklustre campaign. We're a very good side, he isn't one of our greater assets. This is the straightforward reality and I suspect Pearson is well aware of the situation in his own quiet way. No point in us pretending that it isn't the case, though. Nugent, in some ways, was the difference between the two sides today.

We're all waiting for him to re-capture his form but how long do we wait?
Carl the Llama Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Cuddly Ken is a troll you disabled, if you take anything he says seriously then it's your own fault. Of course I don't take anything he says seriously because it's almost always idiotic and, like you say, a desperate plea for attention. That doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't mean it though. PS. You're not a very nice person today.
Number 6 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 GTF is over the fookin hill buddy... He will never be the striker we need to bring on to chase a game. I've nothing against him.. He seems a genuine chap. But relying on him to get back into a game where we are two nil down shows the lack of depth in our squad. Completely disagree. He was better than any other striker in a blue shirt yesterday. I'm not saying he'll start many games but I do think we'll get use out of him.
Lasty Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Bad decisions on the subs but sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Generally I think Pearson has got a lot better with his subs though, as long as we learn from it we'll be ok.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Rubbish The penalty wasn't won due to any tactical changes. It was won due to a massively clumsy challenge from their defender. Talk about clutching at fooking straws. Use your fookin eyes man. Spot on Col.
