Leicester are favourites to achieve promotion and rightly so. They are on fire at the moment and sit comfortably at the top of the table with 57 points from 26 games, five points clear of second placed QPR. They have a goal difference of +20 – the best in the division should it come down to it.

Over the course of the season their home form has been outstanding. From 13 games they have won 10, drawn 2 and lost just once. Over this period their average points per game is 2.46, equalled only by QPR.

Their away form is also very impressive, being second in this table with an average of 1.92 points per game. From 13 they have won 8, drawn 2 and lost 3.

Leicester have gained 13 points from losing positions and lost 7.

The team has been helped along the way by the in-form David Nugent, who has scored 17 goals already this season, 8 of which have been from the penalty spot.

In terms of attendances, they fall slightly short despite their league position and fan base. Their average home attendance is a respectable 23372.

Keep this up and there is no doubt that Leicester City will once again be playing in the Premier League next season.
