Please tell me that it doesn't read as The critic's opinion should be discarded because he is a fluffy dressed puffy haircut soft talking man

I dont know you know, a lot of students are hooligans they might have puffy hair and well...you can't help your voice.

You shouldn't judge people on appearance, which is what DS is saying.

P.S Football factory is childish, immature and only contributes to the problem IMO

I watched it on a big screen on holiday in Malia last year, looked round when I left and all lads who had watched it (including some of my mates) were walking up the strip playfighting, swearing, saying things like "do you wanna get cut" they weren't even bad people really.

Clueless individuals that follow such trends are not going to pick up ironies, like "is it all worth it" they will just cause the police and the public more problems, this film serves only as a rallying cry for the brainless masses. The film is simply irresponsible, I haven't read the book yet even though I got it for my birthday (cheers mum  )

Ive never seen puffy haired hooligans. Maybe one or two in the eighties when "smoothies" came out, but not now, there usually bold headed, or have very short hair, and i wouldn`t expect them to talk softly lol . I doubt students could afford the clobber hooligans wear either. How do you know alot of students are hooligans?

The critic judged the actors in the film as "not people who acted the part of hooligans". I was just using his mode of conduct, thats fair right.

I wouldn`t personally call the film childish or immature. An interesting insight into why/what makes them want to do this, which is what the film did. The reality of violence is immature, but that didnt happen in this film.

Because I know a few students that are or have been hooligans at some point :[

You come across as someone who is impressed by hooliganism tbh lol Well maybe it's not going to affect some people, but see post about brainless masses :ph34r:

After watching E.T. ive said "et phone home" many a time, doesnt mean im going to phone et`s home. I loved rocky and rambo, doesnt mean im going to punch someone in a ring, or knife someone.

Novelty wears off after time, maybe your "pre-judging" your mates ;)

The 2nd main character had his own business, maybe folk will think thats a good idea. Maybe your a bad influence, but you have the right to air your views/take part in society.

Let me turn it round on you, i know OF hooligans, i dont mix with them, yet you KNOW hooligans, maybe your impressed with hooliganism, afterall, you KNOW them, their your friends.

First of all the FEW I know are probably only a fraction of the amount of student hooligans there may be in this country. using A LOT I've amplified it to cater for the whole nation not just the people I actually know.

Secondly I never said they were my friends, the ones who were messing about on holiday were not the same people, not hooligans. They just displayed violent behaviour after watching the film.

Looks like you've put two and two together and made five cowboy!

cat, i notice you didnt reply to the previous post, afraid?

The question remains, how do you know alot of students are hooligans? I dont mind, actually i`d sleep happier if i thought this was true.

There's not really any questions in that post or anything for me to reply to, you are basically slagging me off, which is fine, I'm enjoying this discussion.

Well maybe it's not true, but how do you define a lot? And how do you define hooligan? I elbowed a guy who grabbed me from the seat behind at a game once, am I hooligan? I know 4 maybe 5 students or students at the time who have been involved in trouble, how can you say that it doesn't apply to the rest of the nation?

I'm off bed for tonight, sleep well mortal enemy :cool:

whoa whoa slow down

I do know someone who kind of fits that description - That someone is (still) involved at the highest levels in both combat 18 & chelsea headhunters - It's not wise of me to expand any further on that

You only know me through this forum which means you don't really know me at all - So please don't patronise me by answering your own questions on my behalf

I think it's fair to say, based on your reply here, that you are indeed pre-judging a person based on their appearance - A very dangerous thing to do

:D yes but do you know someone that DOES fit the discription?

Somebody has to answer them, you cant ;)

Absolutely pre-judging, how does he know what a hooligan is like? No one we know knows of any fluffy hooligans, he must be wrong.

Kind of fits that description - Because I am not 100% sure what is meant by fluffy dressed

Be so good as to explain and I will amend my reply accordingly

graham norton, "ross" from friends, that kind of fluffy.

I wouldn't say that description quite fits - But that doesn't mean that such persons don't exist

It is not unheard of for so called street fighters from the nazi skinhead movement to grow their hair and dress normal to allow them to travel and infiltrate

So - What does that mean - I know 2 people heavily involved in the world of hooliganism - 1 of whom is very close to your description - There are certainly a lot more people involved in that world

There is no way that you can say with authority that no-one fitting your description is knowledgable of the subject

graham norton dresses normal lollol nowhere near like those skinhead turned smoothies.

IF, this fluffy film critic knows all about hooliganism (would have to one himself), would sky tv want him on their screen telling about it, dont think so.

im sorry, but a fluffy man with graham norton manerisms working as a film critic on super sky glittering tv, doesnt know hooliganism, only what the media have `told` him perhaps.

Ok Forest at home 02/03 when the fans fought in the ground I may have known some people involved who were students, 3 or 4. I don't speak to them anymore and I won't say anything else. That's a few is it not, now think of that all over the country and include the youngsters in compulsory education, I think you see where I am going with this?

Anyway, prove me wrong. I don't have to quantify anything to you, especially seeing as the boundaries that you judge people on are as vague as anything.

Kind of fits that description - Because I am not 100% sure what is meant by fluffy dressed

161329[/snapback]

I'm sorry but what kind of a comparison can you draw between those two? Have you eyes and ears? Your ability to distinguish between people is almost as bad as your spelling, punctuation and grammar.
