Grandad. Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Chatting with mates earlier and we were on about this FFP and the fine that Man City have received for breaking the rules, it was only a quick discussion and everything was said with no seriousness, so please take that into account when answering this question.. If FIFA or UEFA imposed a ruling where in transfer windows, clubs were only allowed to spend a set amount per window or an amount for both windows combined, would that work or am I missing a huge factor? Let's say all clubs were allowed to spend up to £100 million per season, so that covers both transfer windows only. An example being Real Madrid spent £86 million on Bale in the summer and they were only allowed to spend another £14 million for the season, would it work, would it help with FFP and would it benefit football in the long term? I don't think it would ever happen but it is a thought..
Dan Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Pretty sure you wouldn't legally be allowed to implement something like that.

Swarles Barkley Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Surely teams would just set a buy out clause of 101mil therefore never having to sell the player
