simoncccccc Posted 6 July 2014 Author Posted 6 July 2014 Okay, okay - I'll play along here: Who are the other eight then, I wonder? See the first post in this thread
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2014 Posted 6 July 2014 See the first post in this thread Why would we sign nine Costa Ricans? We might as well buy the entire squad of the WC-winning nation. It's an utterly ridiculous proposal to begin with. Our team is built on a strong backbone of English players, and based on a strong work ethic and togetherness. No way would Pearson want to break that up in favour of signing almost an entirely new squad consisting of Costa Ricans. Great WUMming, congratulations. Pre-season daftness has reached a new all-time low.

Pre-season daftness has reached a new all-time low. Why would we sign nine Costa Ricans? Ambition. Our current squad did us proud last season, but they won't cut it in the Premier League. It's an utterly ridiculous proposal to begin with. Why? In 1978, Spurs bought Ardiles & Villa. I think you'll agree that that went well. My proposal is simply an extention on the theme. We might as well buy the entire squad of the WC-winning nation. I considered this but rejected it on the basis it was likely to be too expensive. Our team is built on a strong backbone of English players, and based on a strong work ethic and togetherness. 'Our team is built on a strong backbone of Costa Rican players, and based on a strong work ethic and togetherness' is equally convincing. No way would Pearson want to break that up in favour of signing almost an entirely new squad consisting of Costa Ricans. If NP is not on board he should be reminded that nobody is irreplaceable.

Cracking effort, whomever's duplicate account you are.
