Rincewind Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 With anything I have said I don't want to come across as a know it all on the subject but over the last year or so I have met people who have suffered depression. They have said the moods have no warnings. One day they are fine the next they are rock bottom. They have mainly got over it partly I think to a change in their life. They feel they have a purpose. Whether they are on medication I don't know but if I want to know what depression is or means I will ask them or a person that is qualified. I do not see it as black and white and am open to be educated.
Rincewind Posted 18 August 2014 Posted 18 August 2014 Just found this. Not looked at the video yet but speed read the article. Could be interesting. It is a lecture on depression by Robert Sapolsky a Stanford biologist. I'll just post the link anyway The video is 52 minutes long. http://www.openculture.com/2014/08/stanfords-robert-sapolsky-demystifies-depression.html
