Isn't somebody nominating you to give to charity completely beside the point?

In the news today that only 1 in 10 of people who have done the Ice Bucket Challenge have actually given anything extra to charity. Frankly I'm not surprised that this has mainly been the practice of bandwagon-jumpers who can't bear to be left out of any fad, but can't be arsed to actually do anything useful with their life or money.

 

Yes, I am a cynic, but I'm a cynic who gives readily without having to do something or see something stupid first.
