ozleicester Posted 3 October 2015 Author Share Posted 3 October 2015 Predicted to be 30+ degrees during the game, possibly hottest on record. Another help to the eagles?, they are from WA so used to hotter, also had a weeks break during the finals.

Webbo Posted 3 October 2015 Share Posted 3 October 2015 Just saw the last 5 minutes of the first quarter. I hope it's a bit more even for the rest of the game.

Jordan Posted 3 October 2015 Share Posted 3 October 2015 Hawthorn are steamrolling. I don't know too much about the tactics, but they just seem so sound with their positioning. In these last two games I've watched, it always seems as if there are more Hawks around the ball than opponents. Every one on that team can kick and pass. And they can spread the ball out wide and attack dangerously down the side, too. It's almost as if they're playing with extra men!

Jordan Posted 3 October 2015 Share Posted 3 October 2015 Obviously a team isn't going to win if they're kicking behinds but even when both teams had about the same number of goals scored + behinds, I really thought Hawthorn were deservedly well ahead. That defensive play by Hawthorn's Brian Lake on Josh Hill to spoil a certain goal was amazing and I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks it summed up the entire game perfectly!
