The gap between the Championship and PL

Recommended Posts

It's still early days but the gap between the premiership and championship is huge. You get punished far quicker for a minor mistake by top strikers and teams break very quickly.

Over the course of the season team suss out and fathom how you play stop your key men from operating. Let us pray and hope we haven't been sussed out already as it is a long season.

Spot on. IMO those two ARE the difference.

Pace (you lose the ball and often are punished).. just see us this season

Finishing.. that punishment comes in the form of 'lose the ball, quickly exploited, bang, goal'

Unless you are Balotelli... lol

Of course it's a big gap, that's why every team that goes up wants to strengthen. We were one of the best teams to come out of the champ for some time and we probably didn't strengthen enough quality wise.

We aren't a million miles away from the other teams around us, we're losing by fine margins at the moment and aren't getting done over by a large amount, we could stay up with what we've got no doubt about that. But it's going to be a massive fight, anyone writing off teams like West Brom, or Palace etc as teams we should turn over comfortably are idiotic.
