An open letter to Russell Brand....

I think the Mail runs it pretty close, but you're right - they're both rags.

The Mail gets accused of being Tory, UKIP or even BNP by some so they clearly aren't doing a great job of being a one party mouthpiece.

It infuriates me that Brand gets airtime. He's like a 17 year old who's just discovering politics and who doesn't quite understand things as well as he thinks he does.

Obviously actual 17 year olds will naively assume that, because he uses elaborate English, he obviously knows what he's talking about.

If you're planning on being as mouthy as he is, you have to be sure that you know what you're talking about.

All part of the dumbing down society thing. Even politics can't escape it now. Very sad but predictable.

Come election time though there'll only be one name they'll endorse.

The Daily Telegraph and The Mirror are the only two nationals to have backed the same party every time since the war.

I think we can view 1974 as a statistical anomaly considering just how strange that election year was. And even that was still a coalition with a Tory majority, remember.

Interesting chart though. Think it backs up the idea that the Times possibly has the least general bias, considering how often it changes horses.

Pretty much why I read it. Variety of columnists as well.

The independent should be forced into a name change.

anyone actually read revolution? I listened to the audiobook and half of it was pretty interesting.

you do all realise that all profit from his book is going to a community project right?

I also don't understand people referencing his wealth, can only poor people comment on inequality?
