Hitesh Posted 31 August 2005 Posted 31 August 2005 Hey, I am just listing possibilities... 7:45pm is the closest I can do to 8pm as I work at 8:15pm on Thursdays i was only jokin...but what im also saying is that i reckon it will be hard to get everyone to agree on a time. so as i said, list a load of dates in a poll and the winner will be the chosen date/time!

I know you were... and I agree, it will be impossible to find a time that everyone can make. But at least we should be able to get most...
Guest Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 The most users record tends to get broken when something controversial happens. I quite like the spontaneity of that. Now, all we need is another La Manga or something.....

Mark Posted 1 September 2005 Posted 1 September 2005 Heh... well, we had quite a few users yesterday, didn't we? Indeed. We wont top yesterday for quite a while. There were 90 users online at one point.. the 202 record included quite a lot of guests at the time.

rossporterlc Posted 4 September 2005 Author Posted 4 September 2005 Indeed. We wont top yesterday for quite a while. There were 90 users online at one point.. the 202 record included quite a lot of guests at the time. you not think it's do-able?
Hitesh Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 you not think it's do-able? i reckon its because he doesnt want to see more than 200 people all posting "short" posts!
cisono Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 Incidentally, how does the system determine if you are online? i.e. I guess I am asking what the timeout is... in other words, after you make a post/browse a thread, how long does it take for the system to decide you are offline?

When you have no browser open in an active thread or if you are logged in/out!
Katy Posted 5 September 2005 Posted 5 September 2005 When you have no browser open in an active thread or if you are logged in/out! I think, and dont quote me on this, but im sure its if you've been 'inactive' (ie no movement within the your foxestalk 'page' )for 30 mins its marks you as offline.

I see. I came to my conclusion from the little stat at the bottom of a thread telling you the people who are reading the thread! So, when someone isnt in a forum/thread, they are offline?

So, when someone isnt in a forum/thread, they are offline? Yes, I believe so. Sometimes you can go into a thread and there are names at the bottom of it who have been there for what seems like ages but then just disappear, thats because they possibly have opened another window on their browser and have not go back to the main FT page, if that makes sense.
