Recommended Posts

Back to work tomorrow  but I get paid on Thursday and its been a 5 week month so will seem like a pretty good wage this month

Bank Holidays are good but seem to go so fast, and then you go back to work on the Tuesday and the week seems longer than a normal week (To me it does anyway)

Oh well roll on Christmas (next bank holiday)

Good lad! And doing a trade (Doing any course/apprenticeship?)

I know I keep banging on about this and I may be offending people (Dunno ) fair enough if all these people want to go to uni, and get into debt its there decision but I know so many people that go to uni learn there stuff then don't use it - Please tell me what is the point? And alot of people that go to uni are learning stuff like Physcology, teaching, law, we do need them i'm not denying it but in a few years your gonna struggle to get jobs because there will be an overflow in those jobs because too many people are learning the subjects, we NEED tradespeople and we are not getting enough people into apprenticeship. Finally apprenticeship are on the up but theres still not enough people leaving school getting involved in trades, and in a few years tradespeople will be rolling in money and we will be charging whatever we want. Australia are calling out for tradesmen because over their there is also a shortage what is britain doing? Nowt!

This bank holiday weekend has gone horribly fast, it really has. I can't believe its back to work again tomorrow. And about the university point made earlier, people go to uni to learn something that they will enjoy learning about whether they want to go into a job with it or not and to enjoy the uni experience which is a hell of a lot more about just learning academically, its the best preparation you can possibly have for moving out and kickstarting your own life.

My Bank Holiday weekend was pretty eventful for a change actually. Leicester v Luton on Saturday (less said about that the better) Watched Cobbo and the Fosse boys train on sunday, down the pub to watch the cricket and the footeh and got totally wrecked. THEN went off with Cobbo, Scoweh and Teeno on the train to Hull and had a great laugh there.

Lost three pounds in weight due to not eating and totally knackered through lack of sleep but the past three days have rocked! :D

Went on strike for an hour today

We were given print-outs todays of our times to make sure we had over-time hours e.t.c were all correct if the times are not correct you write the times on the sheet and see the manager, well I was given mine and it was all correct, but next thing I know there was a rumour going round we were only gonna be paid 4 of the 5 weeks, the company was making the excuse "We couldn't get the money into the bank quick enough to pay you" so we said well do it or we all down tools and go home, so we gave them an hour at 9am we stopped work and just sat and stood about the place, then at about 10.10am we we're having our break and the manger came in and said "We will pay you 4 weeks standard pay & overtime pay and we will pay your overtime pay for the 5th week and pay your standard 5th week next month" so most of us we're happy after that. I personally could have waited for my 5th weeks pay next month, becuase I live at home and all I have to pay is my car, but its the principle the other people have over drafts, cards, e.t.c to pay though.
