stockyfox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 The distance between success and failure is the width of a goalpost! How many times have we hit the woodwork in matches this season and in the goals against us column, how many have gone in off the post or crossbar? When your luck isn't in, it isn't in and when you start to feel that there are parallels between your favourite team and Fred Carno's army -changing the words of the song just slightly: 'We cannot shoot, we cannot score, what bleedin' use are we?' Frustrating and cruel as that might be, that is football! As a fan of 65+ years standing (and that is a fair amount of standing), I've had the pleasure of enjoying and celebrating ten promotions on the one hand and not enjoying about the same number of relegations. Of one fact, I am sure which is that Leicester City F.C. are one of the most unpredictable teams in the league. Tonight, if you think we are in for a thrashing, we will win. However, all those who think we will win may have to eat their words. Looking ahead to Sunday, we have the prospect of the first ever nil -nil bore-sorry I mean draw in the history of the FA Cup. Yes, after replays, extra-time and even after penalties, neither team will have scored. Actually, part of me says that we will win the Cup this year, but there again, the other part of me says we won't!
shailen Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Our league position doesn't represent our performance levels. We should have had another 10+ points from games, but it's our inability to take our chances and defend properly at times. Our general play has been very good, but in those moments where individuals need to take chances and defend adequately, individuals haven't stepped up. We are not the worst team in the league, but we are probably amongst the worst five. Villa, Hull and QPR are worse teams than us from what I've seen.
Stevosevic Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 We'll finish bottom and all these false league positions statements can stop.

Unfortunately league positions are not based on what you have seen. At the moment we are the worst and have the fewest number of points to prove it. Can we even get to 25 points I wonder?

But just feel we aren't anywhere near the whipping boys of the league. Teams have had a game from us pretty much every week. Despite recent results, I still feel we can get out of the situation with some much needed luck and the poor quality teams around us.
