cityfanlee23 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Nonsense. The only stat here of importance is the number of goals conceded per game. Hamer wins hands down (even though they are weighted against him by the high proportion being pens) and he should therefore be first choice. Statistics and hindsight is a very fine thing
deep blue Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Statistics and hindsight is a very fine thing I forgot to mention the fact that we have won more points with Hamer playing and he was dropped for no good reason. So yes, enough evidence to come to the conclusion that he should be our number 1.
eunmac Posted 16 February 2015 Author Posted 16 February 2015 Still backing Schwarzer? Made yourself look like a right tit here mate. Congrats on your 10,000th post. So happy to be the recipient of your heartfelt schadenfreude (you might need to look that up). Am I backing Schwarzer still? How can I? We can't afford mistakes like that. Time to give Hamer another go, I'll take his woeful distribution over letting in soft goals any day. But lets face it the whole team let the side down against Villa. It was a shocker. This post was about Schwarzer stats. So here's the update. - Pass accuracy in the Villa game = 42%. - Number of goals that were completely his fault = 1 - WhoScored Match rating = 6.17 And yes... Lloris would have saved that. Absolutely fair call.
eunmac Posted 16 February 2015 Author Posted 16 February 2015 Statistics and hindsight is a very fine thing I agree. At least you understood the point of the original post. Thx mate!
eunmac Posted 16 February 2015 Author Posted 16 February 2015 Schwarzer should just work with Hamer to help improve his distribution and encourage him to play more short passes or throw it out rather than always kicking it long so we keep possession more. If the defenders give him the short options this shouldn't be hard This.
