Connolly and Wright out, Hume and Hammond in

Recommended Posts

Leicester City have moved quickly to fill the boots of Wigan Athletic-bound David Connolly by agreeing deals with Tranmere Rovers and Fulham for Iain Hume and on-loan striker Elvis Hammond respectively.

Connolly joined Wigan on transfer deadline day for an initial £2 million - rising to £3 million should the Premiership newcomers avoid relegation this season. City manager Craig Levein has moved quickly in signing both Hume and Hammond.

Hume joins for an initial £500,000, with an extra £250,000 should City win promotion to the Premiership and an additional 10 per cent sell-on clause. Hammond joins for £225,000 rising to £350,000.

Both have signed three-year deals.

Meanwhile, Tommy Wright, who has found it hard to win a place in Craig Levein's side, has joined League One side Blackpool on a five-month loan deal. Wright will use his time at the Tangerines to get some match sharpness.

so Tommy wright off on loan. Come back after scoring one goal, then sit in reserves for a month then bugger off to another side!
