IF we even put relegation clauses in for the Championship... I can't imagine that the board or DoF thought we would get relegated again ("We promote next season").

I think that is a wildly optimistic take.... We shouldn't be keeping Lascelles, I would imagine he would be able to demand higher wages from a Championship club. We are stuck with Vestergaard, no one is coming to buy him and he won't force a move, he knows that he will be getting paid more by us than what any one else will offer. Same could be said for Mavididi and BCDR, we have shot ourselves in the foot so much by offering wages to players that are so much higher than their actual value. Based on Fatawu's recent form I'd also be surprised if we get anything north of £15million for him.

Ricky certainly improved defensively as he went with us. I remember Jonny Evans and Ricardo's debuts and Evans was getting a hammering, very unfairly I should add as he was having to do his and Ricky's defending for him. I'd argue he was the best all round full back we've had but Simpson was the vastly superior defender. Just got a nose bleed going over the half way line.

I was impressed by that Jordan Thomas who played on the wing for Cheltenham against us in the FA Cup. He was the best Thomas on the pitch and there was 3 of them at the time!

Rosenior should only be if we are getting rid of the toxic players who have let us down the last two sessions. He has proven at Chelsea he can't manage problematic players.
