Joe. Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 I certainly think so. He has played consistently brilliant in the prem so far this season and is by far better than Robinson. McClaren should at least put him in the squad and should really be giving him the number one shirt. Robinson is not convincing in my eyes and he needs to watch over his shoulder with James waiting in the wings.

lildave3 Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 James is gettin on now, i personally think it should be Robbo number 1, Kirkland number 2 and Foster number 3.
Wils Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 Dont you remember how crap he was when he was Englands number 1.
Joe. Posted 27 November 2006 Author Posted 27 November 2006 Dont you remember how crap he was when he was Englands number 1. But lookat how good he is now. That was in the past, this is the present. yes he may be getting on but he's still a quality keeper and better than Robbo.

James has cost us big games in the past and i think hes to unreliable to be our first choice keeper for England.

I have no qualms about reminding you of that 4-1 trouncing in Denmark, where James was, mildly put, awful.
Joe. Posted 27 November 2006 Author Posted 27 November 2006 I have no qualms about reminding you of that 4-1 trouncing in Denmark, where James was, mildly put, awful. It's in the past! Have you seen Jame's performances this season?
lildave3 Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 It's in the past! Have you seen Jame's performances this season? Form is temporary, class (or lack of it in this case) is permanent
Joe. Posted 27 November 2006 Author Posted 27 November 2006 Form is temporary, class (or lack of it in this case) is permanent Robinson= Crap this season James= Awesome this season
lildave3 Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 Robinson= Crap this season James= Awesome this season As i said above, form is temporary etc.
lildave3 Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 Somebody out there must agree with me??? Not even Jamo himself would agree
Joe. Posted 27 November 2006 Author Posted 27 November 2006 Not even Jamo himself would agree Well is hairstyle doesn't go for him at the moment....
shen Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 It's in the past! Have you seen Jame's performances this season? Well 2 minutes ago is in the past as well. James is a fine reserve goalie, but he's not got the class to be number 1 and never has had.
filbertway Posted 27 November 2006 Posted 27 November 2006 He's done very well this season, and his performances have been good, I don't know who I would choose out of james and robbo to be fair. But for the next world cup, Ben Foster
coale39 Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 IMO James is a better keeper (more agile etc). But hes a nut. Hes like our version of Bartez
Lord Nibblington Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 This thread made me giggle. Then cry a little. David James has consistantly proved on the international scene he's just not cut out for it. Some dodgey barnet's aside, he's far too prone to do something monumentally stupid to be consider a good international number 1. Picking him again would take us to a bad place. Full of evil pixies and goblins!
FNQ Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 It's in the past! Have you seen Jame's performances this season? This holds no weight. He's been the best English club goalkeeper for the last decade.
Joe. Posted 28 November 2006 Author Posted 28 November 2006 Finally someone who agrees! Jamo for England!
Random Burglar Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Foster for number 1 spot. Has been brilliant this season
Joe. Posted 29 November 2006 Author Posted 29 November 2006 Foster for number 1 spot. Has been brilliant this season Foster?! No way at the moment. Foster won't get a place in the team for ages..
