General Smuts Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Got a spare for Lee Evans standup for this thursdee coming as my missus forgot she was on holiday when we ordered them. My sisters fella who was gonna take it now has to train with the Tigers aswell so he's out. So before i bang it on ebay (where there going for upwards of £80) id rather i flogged it to someone i knew (vaguely) and i wouldn't take owt above face value + booking fee and a pint. I don't have the tickets physically so would have to arrange to meet you outside. Doors open at 7:30 to start at 8pm. Anyone interested lemme know.

The Stig Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 I got taken tot his as a birthday surprise last night. My Mum and Dad couldn't have picked a bettr present. He was amazing, his best stand up by a country mile. Well well worth going.

The Stig Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Was there much crossover with his older stuff? Some similarities but it wasn't just all daft faces etc, there was more stuff from real life than perviously. Of his old stuff, I always thought "he's OK but no where near as good as Peter Kay". Based on the routine I saw last night he's comfortably as good if not better.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Does he still sweat a ridiculous amount?
General Smuts Posted 3 September 2008 Author Posted 3 September 2008 Does he still sweat a ridiculous amount? Im taking an umbrella ella ella eh eh.
The Stig Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Does he still sweat a ridiculous amount? Yes and in the opening video it was referred to! He went through three suits all were drenched by the end!
Tabou Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Went to see this last night. I can honestly say it was the single funniest 2hour period of my life. Asolutely Histerical.
billyfox1 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Went to see this last night. I can honestly say it was the single funniest 2hour period of my life. Asolutely Histerical. so did i. it was brilliant. can't wait for the dvd
The Stig Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 I'm going tonight, looking forward to it You will love it
Nod.E Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 I think that was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. Mr Evans, I love you. To anyone who went.... Women who say, their baby was an accident. You'll know what I mean if you've seen it. Don't want to spoil it for those going another time. During the last five minutes of his stand up I was crying through it. Absolutely brilliant stuff. Then he went a bit choir boy, but i'll let him have that after the rest of the night. LOVED it.
General Smuts Posted 5 September 2008 Author Posted 5 September 2008 Quality. Not much of a singer though ...
Maybes Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Quality. Not much of a singer though ... Good. I dont want him to sing . How long did it last for?
billyfox1 Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Good. I dont want him to sing .How long did it last for? quite a while, he does a long stint on a tiny guitar for one song, and then another one on the piano. he did his bohemiam rhapsody sketch after that though which is brilliant
isaidno Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I went on thursday, absoulutely fantastic . He started at 8 and finished at 11 with a 15 minute interval. Was tempted to walk out during the singing , but he made up for it with the bohemium rhapsody sketch
