Really appreciate all the input guys, really useful. Getting closer to taking the plunge on the house. It's 3 minutes from perranporth beach and location wise it's exactly what I've been looking for. I've not been down here as long as my username might suggest so getting my head around not having gas central heating like I always did in Leicester. My dad was a gas man so he'll have a fit when I tell him 🤣🤣

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the omission of the standing charge for gas you won't be paying. Mines 30p a day on Octopus, so £110 a year.

Still going to be more expensive with leccy but it's worth noting.

We can't keep looking backwards. I often think there's a time and place things work perfectly in football but it isn't often repeated. We need to move on from ex players or ex coaches/managers/recruitment gurus

I am so bored of people suggesting someone with cult status returns for this reason.

You love them, I get it, but the past is the past. Times have changed, the club has changed, they have changed. Move on. It would not be the same as it was then.

He really isn’t! People are blinded by his ability to pick a pass. He is slow, has a lack of awareness, can’t win a header against guys a foot shorter than him and gets outmuscled by the same guys a foot smaller than him. He has been responsible for a number of goals against already.

Even the Stoke goal yesterday, the scorer had a free header from exactly the spot the left centre back should be covering and Vestergaard was nowhere to be seen.

The man was between Vestergaard and Faes, and then went behind Faes to our left. Quite odd to suggest Vestergaard is at fault for it and not Faes.

Anybody pulled out of a house purchase after paying for surveys etc. Can you sell them on to the next buyer? I know solicitors sell on their searches, though no idea if they keep all the money.

I haven't been in that position but I'm pretty sure you cannot legally sell their report - it simply isn't yours to sell.

I'd expect somewhere in the report there will be some vague disclaimer about circumstancial/restricted use and passing info on without their consent which would cover this.

I think if they get this re-shuffle wrong, then they become even more indefensible which would surely spell the end.

Gives them another few years with some fans though doesn't it, if this goes wrong and things continue to get worse they won't admit that for a good few years.

I’d genuinely suggest re-reading my post, it’s not about QPR but the average nature of everything that he displayed at QPR and before.

Imagine defending Marti’s record at any club and saying it’s been anything other than bottom half Championship at best.

There is a difference between commenting on that and an up and coming young manager who has actually proven a track record of winning at a lower level.

That's fair enough, I wouldn't disagree with any of this.

But I dont think the bolded bit came across that much in your previous post, it read to me like a big part of the reason for not wanting Marti was because he was at an 'average' club.

I think this is what was on the cards at the time we got promoted  under Enzo before Chelsea came calling, he always said that there were good people at the club but they needed more help, experience and support, I think Top has probably recognised it’s now or never, he has to change something to win back the support of a proportion of the fanbase and to give the club the best chance of returning to being a sustainable and successful entity.

Many have said Jon Rudkin was never going to be sacked and that a move upstairs or sideways was the only war that some change on the football operations side could happen, this offers that opportunity.

The recruitment of a new Chief Executive and Commercial Director should also be welcomed, again an opportunity for the club to strengthen this side of the business whilst also bringing in fresh ideas and thinking.

People can argue all day long about timing, motive etc etc but the reality is this is what so many have been asking for, of course it’s critical that the club get the appointments right and they are given the structure and environment to be successful, but this is a massive step in the right direction and hopefully the start of our long journey back to where we know we can be as a club.

I agree to an extent with all of this, except the last bit. At the very least, it is some form of admission that things aren't going well and that change is required. That is positive.

But the leadership of this club has given us nothing in the last few years to suggest we should trust them or what they say and I have very little faith they will do a decent job of this.

Such is the case that I can no longer give the club any credit for what they say until I actually see positive change.

Mate, nobody dare say anything to argue the left wing narrative on here for fear you'll get banned. Will probably get banned again for posting this 🤣

Do you have any evidence of your suggestions about agents and an inside job, or is this just a conspiracy theory?

I do agree the BBC were completely wrong in their editing of the Trump speech. However,  try reading through the transcript

    https://www.rev.com/transcripts/donald-trump-speech-save-america-rally-transcript-january-6

He claims election was stolen through fraud (although no evidence); he urges supporters to march and yes, he refers to peacefully making voices heard, but near the end Our brightest days are before us, our greatest achievements still wait. I think one of our great achievements will be election security because nobody until I came along, had any idea how corrupt our elections were. And again, most people would stand there at 9:00 in the evening and say, "I want to thank you very much," and they go off to some other life, but I said, "Something's wrong here. Something's really wrong. Can't have happened." And we fight. We fight like Hell and if you don't fight like Hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.

For those still listening to his usual long rambling speech it is easy to see how it would have been interpreted by his fanatical MAGA base.

The blanket pardons given by Trump to those convicted for violence does not help the idea he was advocating peaceful protests

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjw4vjvlgxpo

Talks about media narrative and then quotes a speech, leaving out the bit where the election loser says it was a corrupt election and that there will be no country left if you don't fight like hell 🤣

Interview with Top to be released later today

Part of me is really curious to see what he has to say, the other half knows it's going to be lots of deflection/won't be taking accountability and is just going to make me angry.

    Trust reform?  Never.

The trust has clearly changed in the last year or so but yes with your attitude it will indeed be more difficult.

If every cynic like yourself put the cost of a pint into membership instead and continued to feed into what they are doing, then it will have more weight.

Getting rid of Top and Rudkin is not going to be a quick fix and no-one is suggesting otherwise. Renewing my membership alone will not make a difference, but the whole point is thatthe trust should represent the fan base more widely.

We need as many people as possible singing from the same hymn sheet and showing our disproval of what is happening.
